After their win on Sunday, the Red Wolves have a chance of reaching the second round, but we are not there yet so we remain cautious.
On the other hand, the ticket sale for the second round has started and it is going very, very fast. Belgians who want to come to Malmö we would advise not to wait too long, as tickets for Saturday’s matches are already sold out.  In the first round Belgium plays in Group H.

BELGIUM 31 – 29 TUNISIA

The Red Wolves recorded a historic win on Sunday night. The Belgians beat Tunisia by 31 – 29 to win their second group match in their first participation in a World Cup. Halfway through the game, it was 17 – 16 in favour of the Red Wolves. In the second half, the Belgians quickly ran out two goals and missed the opportunity to run out to three goals. Tunisia closed the gap, got into the lead but the Belgians, in a thrilling finale of nerve-wracking second half, finally deservedly fought their way to a 31 – 29 win. Raphael Kötters was voted man of the match.
