The Royal Belgian Handball Federation proudly announces that the Black Arrows, Belgium’s national women’s team, will participate in the Euro 2026 qualification campaign. This decision follows a thorough evaluation and the securing of financial guarantees, marking a significant milestone for women’s handball in Belgium. The federations remain equally committed to the Red Wolves, the men’s national team, as part of its broader vision to elevate Belgian handball.

The Black Arrows beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 27 – 28 on Sunday afternoon. Halfway through the game, it was 13 – 16 in favour of the Belgians. After an exciting second half, in which the Belgians fought their way back into the match, they recorded a first and immediately historic victory.

The Black Arrows lost their first World Cup qualifier to Kosovo 28 – 32 on Friday night. At half-time the score was 12 – 19. In an exciting second half, the Belgians were at times the better of Kosovo but in the end the Black Arrows could not make up the deficit of seven goals and the game ended 28 – 32.

The Black Arrows will play their WCHQualification tournament in Hasselt from 25 to 27 October with opponents Kosovo and Bosnia Herzegovina. The winner will advance to the play-offs in April 2025.
